Personality and universal design for learning in management education

Purpose This paper aims to improve the understanding of student readiness for universal design learning (UDL), thereby reducing a barrier its adoption by management faculty. It explores how students’ personality (conscientiousness and openness experience) affects their embrace UDL investigate that relationship is mediated self-directed (SDL). Design/methodology/approach Analysis uses survey data from students in courses. From these are created multi-item constructs control variables. A regression model bootstrapping estimate parameters standard errors generates results. Findings The findings were SDL strongly related fully mediates between conscientiousness UDL. Openness experience, however, directly relates without any mediation.
